Hazelgate Capital, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, takes funding requests by phone and online form from businesses in Washington County, OK and nearby places. This page names those places, gives ZIP-level Census business counts where they exist, explains why a ZIP count is not a town count, and covers the county assessor and Oklahoma funding basics.
Dewey, OK and Ramona, OK: Washington County, OK Neighbors
Dewey, OK sits about 3.6 miles northeast of Hazelgate's listed location in a straight line. ZIP Code Business Patterns counted 98 employer establishments with a ZIP 74029 address in 2023; construction had 19 and retail trade 18, and 58.2% of the ZIP's establishments had fewer than five employees. Dewey covers only 4.6% of that ZIP's land, so these are ZIP figures.
Ramona, OK, about 15.1 miles south, uses ZIP 74061, which had 28 employer establishments in 2023 (ZBP); the town covers 0.9% of the ZIP's land. Ochelata, OK (ZIP 74051, 22 establishments) and Copan, OK (ZIP 74022, 12 establishments) are also in Washington County, OK.
Nowata, OK, Pawhuska, OK and Talala, OK: Neighboring Counties
These towns sit outside Washington County, OK, so the county figures on this site do not describe them. Nowata, OK (about 19.2 miles east, Nowata County) uses ZIP 74048, which counted 119 employer establishments in 2023, 20 of them in retail trade (ZBP). Pawhuska, OK (about 20.4 miles west-southwest, Osage County) uses ZIP 74056, with 101 establishments, 26 in retail. Talala, OK (about 21.7 miles southeast, Rogers County) uses ZIP 74080, with 36 establishments, 11 in construction.
Each town covers a small share of its ZIP's land, under 2% in all three cases, so the counts describe the ZIP area.
Caney, KS and the Kansas Line
Caney, KS, about 18.2 miles north in Montgomery County, KS, uses ZIP 67333, which counted 59 employer establishments in 2023 (ZBP), with retail trade and accommodation and food services at 8 each. Oklahoma figures do not apply across the state line, and Kansas rules, not Oklahoma's, govern licensing there. Havana, KS and Tyro, KS sit farther north and east.
Washington County, OK assessor's office when you plan a build-out
A build-out, an equipment purchase or a property purchase can bring a business into contact with the Washington County, OK assessor's office, which values property for tax purposes, including business personal property in Oklahoma. A lender financing a building or major equipment may ask for the property's assessed value or the latest tax statement, and a buyer of a business should ask the seller for both.
Confirm filing rules and deadlines directly with the assessor's office; they are not set out here.
Small business loans in Oklahoma for owners in towns such as Dewey, OK and Nowata, OK
Owners outside Bartlesville, OK, in Dewey, OK, Nowata, OK or Pawhuska, OK, use the same funding types and the same partner review. Location matters to a lender in two ways: where collateral sits, and which state's rules govern the agreement, which is why the Kansas side is noted separately above. The Bartlesville, OK page covers the Oklahoma registration steps.
Business line of credit vs loan
A loan suits a project with a price; a line suits a gap that opens and closes. That holds for a store in Pawhuska, OK as much as for a clinic in Bartlesville, OK. The funding types grid sets the two beside four other options.
Difference between secured and unsecured business loan explained for Bartlesville, OK owners
A secured loan names collateral such as equipment, receivables or property; an unsecured loan names none but may carry a personal guarantee and a general lien. In smaller towns, where a business may own its building or vehicles, a secured loan can be the route to a larger amount; the trade-off is what is pledged.
Why These Places Have No Pages of Their Own
A town earns its own page here only when Census figures describe its businesses directly. For these places the only figures cover a ZIP that is mostly farmland or other towns, so a page would just repeat county numbers. These places are named here instead, with ZIP figures labeled as ZIP figures.
